Lexapro Side Effects

Lexapro is a common antidepressant drug that is frequently used to treat patients suffering from severe depression and anxiety disorders. The drug is also effective in the treatment of panic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and social anxiety. The drug works by inhibiting serotonin an important chemical in the brain.

Lexapro is very useful with limited side effects when taken as per the recommendation of the physician. However, many patients taking the drug may complain of side effects like headaches, nausea, fatigue, and ejaculation problems. A scientific study has revealed that 10-15% men undergoing lexapro treatment may suffer from ejaculation problems once they start taking this anti depressant drug.
